Merkez Çelik, established in Kayseri Organized Industrial Zone on June 19, 1992, also produces the semi-finished products such as industrial product required by group companies affiliated with Boydak Holding besides sitting group, sofa armchair sets and bed base. Domestic sales, foreign sales and import of Merkez Çelik, operating with its 2 thousand 423 employees in a covered area of 126 thousand 865 m2 over an area of 190 thousand m2, realized respectively as TRY 378 million 152 thousand 787, TRY 59 million 351 thousand 720 and USD 29 million 807 thousand 795 in 2008 and it paid a Corporate Tax of TRY 4 million 104 thousand 310 for these activities.
 

The company, acting as leader in the furniture industry, continued its activities in compliance with its mission and vision and provided services in the industry in line with the rapid, quality, convenient price and after sales customer satisfaction targets with its broad product range in the year 2008. Merkez Çelik, realizing that the problems resulting from the global crises starting in 2008 may be overcome by increasing the saving supported physical and human capital accumulations and realizing innovation oriented production, has accelerated the activities which shall ensure saving and productivity. Within framework of these activities, the modernization implementations, automation investments, simple "six sigma" projects and Tubitak Supported Re-De Projects have been realized and the successful personnel has been awarded.
 
The company, extending its product range with many new product designs by performing product-development activities according to market requirements, has acted with great responsibility for creating added value both itself and Turkey. Merkez Çelik, carrying out many training activities for maximizing vocational knowledge and equipment of its employees -its the most important capital- and ensuring that they are specialized in their jobs, ranks 154th for sales of 2008 in the general industry in survey of the biggest 500 companies of the world organized by Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO).
